Through collaboration with investigators at the Komfo Anoyke Teaching Hospital, this study involves the recruitment of young adults with HIV in Kumasi, Ghana to develop and test an innovate text message intervention using behavioral economics and gamification principles. Funding for the project is provided by the Rhode Island Foundation.
Mindful RAP Study
This study focuses on mindfulness practices in Providence College students. This study also focuses on how mindfulness practices impacts health risk behaviors such as substance use, sexual risk behavior, and problematic social media use.
Project PAUSE
This is an early stage intervention development study that seeks to understand how mindfulness-based strategies (including mindfulness, gratitude, compassion, and impermanence acceptance) can be used to reduce problematic social media use among college students.
